i have light tan skin, black hair and i plan on getting bangs, dark brown eyes, and i have a couple of flaws on my skin (not acne), im asian

It's not a matter of avoiding colors, but avoiding certain hues of that color or whether it's warm or cool. Not all tan is the same, not all olive is the same.

All colors have either a warm undertone or a cool undertone.

You can wear any color you want, but choose the tone of that color according to how it actually looks against your skin.
