How should I do my hair and makeup for homecoming?

I'm asian with black hair 3 inches beneath my shoulders. My eyes are almond shaped and my face is oval shaped. I have very dark brown eyes with long lashes by thick eyebrows. I have straight bangs but I don't like them so I usually just pin them up with bobby pins.

My dress is like this one. http://www.jessicamcclintock.com/webapp/...

Except that the middle part is a light pink instead of ivory.

What color should my toenails and nails be?

How should I do my hair?

What colors should I use in my makeup and what should I do?

I really don't want to spend too much money. Thanks!

That's a really pretty dress! I'm pretty sure I can help you alot here, because I'm Asian too and we have similar hair and features. Your dress seems kind of mod, so I think you should actually flaunt your bangs instead of trying to hide them (unless you REALLY don't like them, in which case you can pin them back or use a jeweled headband.)

Opt for black heels with that dress-usually laced-up sandals, or maybe even peep-toe black pumps. You'll probably want to have smoky eyeshadow and a lot of black eyeliner, but not so much that you look trashy. You're lucky you have long lashes, because I have pretty short ones! Just use some defining mascara, and make sure that your eyeliner and mascara are balanced; you don't want too much of both. Since it's a homecoming dance, use some light pink lip gloss to look flirty. Also brush some red blush (not pink!) onto the apples of your cheeks and brush it back along your cheekbones. If you use bronzer, brush some that's a few shades darker than your skin right underneath your cheekbones and along your jawline to accentuate.

It's hard to think of a good toenail color. You have golden undertones and are probably pretty tan, so white toenail polish would stand out, but i'm not sure if it would match your dress. You can try a light pink to match your dress, or if you REALLY want your toes to stand out (which is a weird way to put it), you can use RED toenail polish. As for you fingernails, a French manicure would be pretty, but on a budget, just use either light pink or clear polish for a good finish.

You can go three ways with your hair: super straight and sleek with your bangs for a really mod look, or wavy and messy with curled bangs, or an updo, which would cost a lot. The easiest and cheapest way would be just to straighten your hair.

I hope I helped. If you need any more advice, just send me an email.

liquid line the top of your eyes, making the liner wing out, like this: http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/pr... (you dont have to do the liner on the bottom, im just showing you how to do it on top

and put light pink eyeshadow on, do a neutral-pinkish lip, and blush cheeks

i think you should french pedicure your toes

you should make loose waves/curls in your hair and leave it out, along with the pouf thing at the top. or even a low, messy bun, with bangs swept to the side
