I am a black male and I noticed how so many people whether white, Asian, Latino etc. complain about how some of us our laud

some say rude, and aggressive they cant seem to get along with us.Then I remember walking into a barbershop to get my haircut everybody in there was black until two white guys came in, these white guys were the coolest calmest dudes they weren't scared or judgmental even in a room filled with "aggressive laud black people" they just sat there got they're hair cut and moved on. I also remember me walking into a store to buy my clothes on the east side of town, the store was owned by an Asian family one of workers was showing three very tall black men around, he was perfectly fine doing his job getting along with all the customers that walked in his store which were all black. Even though we have dark skin, talk slang ,dress differently they treated us like 1stclass people why is it so hard for others to do the same?

Because they're ignorant and don't give people chances to prove themselves before judging them as a whole race. I'd ignore them if I were you. Btw, there are people that treat you equally and those people are the ones you've mentioned above so not ALL people of other races stereotype against blacks. Some are, but not all.

Some people are just afraid of whats different.

However in the case of being scared of different ethnicities, i can honestly say if i see a black asian or spanish male dressed 'gangster' i get a little scared. Just because alot of people from different ethnicities have given their race a negative reputation.

This is in no way meant to be racist. But if your wondering why you may be treated differently, id say thats why. Its nothing personal, they're just scared.

Its so easy to steriotype people - TV might have a lot to do with it but also what people dont understand they fear - I cant tell you why but I guess its human nature - personally I dont have a problem with anyone - my ex however didnt like people who didnt speak English but if you could speak English enough to be understood he didnt have a problem - we ended up agreeing to disagree on this topic because we used to argue a fair bit about it (no its not why we split up)

Because people would rather be lazy and resort to developing stereotypes than search within to examine their own fears, ignorance and privilege.

If they let the media spoonfeed them ideas about people they are totally ignorant about, they can save their energies to maintain the illusion that the world is concrete and absolute rules and they can be safe as long as they cling to those rules.

People remain racist b/c it works for them. It works for them to feel special by putting down other people. They get a lot out of denying their own flaws and they get to ignore their accountability for how their behavior and choices impact other people.

I've noticed that there is never just one type of bigotry. The person who uses stereotypes to excoriate people of colour are the same ones who hate the poor or gay people or anyone one else they deem as "other".

Know what else? The world's problems are the fault of other people and they only spread goodness and light.

Most ppl are just evil. They don't care if they make a person feel uncomfortable. It feels good when ppl treat you like a human and not a savage don't it? There are more good ppl like that, so don't even sweat it my brotha.

Ignorance and/or fear. Those people were raised the wrong way - they think because they know of one or two examples of a black person who behaved badly, that means all black people are like that. Of course, that's ridiculous... the actions of a few people don't say anything at all about their race as a whole, and every race has "bad apples". Don't worry about those people, just pity them. In the end, they are missing out on knowing some wonderful human beings.

Simple in this society people like to be conformist. Eveything has to been the same. If anything or anyone is different then let's get rid of the problem now. I can understand your thoughts believe it or not the church is the biggest problem we have. You have to be like them, look like them, and act like them. People think that way because of the media/hollywood, they show the steryo ~ types....Like on BET every time i see a movie on it it is negitive...about drive bys, shootings, killings, "prison song"%26lt;%26lt;was ok movie though. but they just show negitive images of blacks....A lot of people watch too much television, so when they see that, and then see ONE, person live up to that expectation, they automatically think all are like that, and they (non~blacks) automatically dont like us....so that could be just 1 reason, and the other is the myths, and stories from their mamas and daddys......
