So I really wanna dye my hair 2 tone. I have really dark brown hair that's almost black (i'm asian) and i want a light brown or a dirty blonde on the bottom but i'm not sure if that will look good. i'm gonna get my hair cut with more layers and get some bangs before i do the 2 toning. which looks better when 2 toned, longer or shorter hair?

longer definitely.usually you would go for the lighter colour on top.why dont you try putting chunks underneath instead of all the bottom half of your hair

both look fine but w/ your texture of hair.. it is going to be hard to find a natural toned blonde.. be careful! And definitely opt to do this professionally.. blonde can be dangerous!! If you have natural colored hair right now.. i would just stick w/ that! Trust me.. it's gorgeous regardless!

I did mine short Blonde in the front brown in the back looked good went through alot of different hair stages. what your going to do sounds really nice, go longer !!!!!
