How long does your hair need to be to lay down?

I have what you could call Asian hair (im not Asian). My hair sticks straight out of my head and doesn't seem to lay down, I want to get it long enough where its not sticking straight out of my head and lays down. I always end up cutting it before it gets longer than a inch and a half because it looks like a white persons afro or something.

well only u can really tell it might take a while just let it grow then u decide wen to cut after it grows

oh so you want like the hairstyle that lots of guys have?? where its like your hair sorta flips out to the side and its like kinda long, like just about where ur ears are, so you have like bangs in the front?? ok well anyways umm until your hair grows, cuz after it grows like 2-3 inches it will become like heavy and start to lay down, until then you can style it will gel or hairspray, just kinda like push it down with gel. im not sure if itll work, but you can at least try! but just dont get another haircut and it seems like you want ur hair to grow fast so use MANE N' TAIL shampoo and conditioner, it makes ur hair grow so fast! like seriously my hair grew like almost an inch in one week!
